SANI MU'AZU was born in Jos in 1960 and is a graduate of mass communication from the university of Jos in 1990 and an alumnus of the Nigerian institute of Journalism, Lagos in 1985. This heavily endowed personality and movie veteran is a holder of a Del York diploma in digital film-making from the New York film academy. Sani Mu'azu is a household name by working consistently in Nigeria's television,Radio and Film industry for over 3 decades as a filmmaker, producer, director and actor.

This indigenous and prolifically international veteran worked on two international film projects namely; ''SOWETO'' directed by Mike Return in 1987 and ''MISTER JOHNSON'' directed by Bruce Beresford in 1990.

As an A-list actor, some of his credits includes Nigeria's foremost soap operas ''BEHIND THE CLOUDS''-Editor (1996), ''SHADOWS'' by Douglas Amachree (1998), ''RIDDLES AND HOPES''-BABAN NASIRU (2002), ''AMINA''-YERIMA SADIK (2006), ''MOUNTAIN BLUES''- GUIDE (2008), ''MTV SHUGA NAIJA''- SOLOMON (2013), ''AKWAI MAFITA''- Senator (2005), ''SONS OF THE CALIPHATE''-Emir (2016), ''THERE IS A WAY''-Mahdi (2017), ''KING OF BOYS''- Inspector Shehu (2018), ''UP NORTH''- Grand Khadi (2018), ''LION HEART''- Alhaji Maikano (2018), ''BILKISU''- Alhaji (2018), ''4TH REPUBLIC'' - Governor (2019), ''MAKE ROOM''- Father (2019), ''KWANA CASA'IN''- Gwamna (2019).

As a producer of feature films, Sani Mu'azu directed and acted in over a hundred projects in and outside Nigeria including''RIDDLES AND HOPES'' (winning best actor in Nigeria Award), ''AGUMBA'', ''EG'IGWE'', ''TAMBAREE'', and several others. A feature film he produced in 2007 (Mountain Blues, won best feature film at the Abuja International Film Festival). ''HAFSAH'', another feature film on HIV/AIDS advocacy he produced for BBC service Trust Abuja won 3 AMAA nominations, making it the only Arewa film that featured in Nigeria. He received the best producer/director at the Africa Film Awards in the United Kingdom.

SANI MU'AZU is a recipient of the prestigious Stars in the movies Award, Nollywood Personality Award, NOPA, AS WELL AS kANNYWOOD LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD. He was also consultant in the British Council 'Reel Dialogue' project in Nigeria in 2006. He represented Africa at the British Councils Arts Consultative meeting in London in 2006. He attended Cannes International Film Festival, Cannes, France, FESPACO and Shitengi International film festival, Cape Town, South Africa.

This awesome personality is a past National president and a member of Board of Trustees with Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria, MOPPAN. He is also a pioneer member of the Steering committee for Motion Picture Council of Nigeria, an indivisible member of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), Independent Producers Association of Nigeria (ITPAN) and the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
