SUNDAY AKPOME


SUNDAY AKPOME was born on the 25th of  November 1957. He is an indigene of Benue state from APA local government area. He attended the L.E.A primary school Otukpo,Wesley High School Otukpo and then proceeded to Plateau State Polythecnic to have his HND in public Admin.


SUNDAY AKPOME is also a military retired officer and was enlisted into the Nigerian Army on the 15th of March 1968 and was transferred into the Nigerian Air force on special grounds on the 1st of April 1977. He  retired from the service after completing 35 years of active service to Nigeria.

PAPA AKPOME as he is fondly called found his passion in acting and coupled it with his engagements as a business entrepreneur. Amongst the numerous film jobs done under nollywood, SUNDAY AKPOME has been involved in "5 APOSTLES", "BURY ME WITH MY SWEETHEART", "RED BOX", "QUEEN AMINA, "AGBENU", "THE LEGEND LOBO","KARAMI STITCHES", "TALES BY MOONLIGHT", "ESCAPE GOAT ", "ASIYA" and has also recently featured in AREWA 24's viewers choice Hausa series being shot in Jos-plateau state being produced and directed by prolific directore and actor Sani Muazu and a host of others . Age does not hold this diligent and meticulous actor down as he captures his character  lines with ease and delivers his mannerisms with dexterity!
PAPA SUNDAY AKPOME has recently stepped up on his career by playing legendary character of KING PHANDA in KHUM'GBOW THE LEGEND series which is earmarked to premiere on a large scale via cinema in the month of April 2021 and also to be in international film festivals and hopefully gaining awards.
