PLATEAU INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (PIFF) in its seventh edition goes to the streets in the month of October with a 3 days film forum offering a connecting platform for Nollywood project holders in search of networking and marketing with professionals and investors involved in sustainability to be accessed easily.
Debrah Jalmet, the convener of the Plateau International Film Festival has emphasized that the selection of the Nollywood feature films, fiction and documentary projects with social, societal and environmental impact content, illustrating one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals, will be presented to an audience in 3 major parts of the Tin city that would acknowledge and foster, celebrate culture, creativity and be committed to human rights and the Plateau dream.
This 7th edition tagged: “Film and Human Rights,” is set to explore the powerful influence of film on individuals, both positively and negatively for 3 days at 3 different locations within the Jos Capital of Plateau state.
DAY ONE of the Film Festival is scheduled to commence on Friday, October 13th 2023 at the Secretariat Junction Under Bridge in Jos, Plateau State.
DAY TWO will happen on Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at the Redeemed Christian Mission (RCM) Abattoir near the Police Station.
DAY THREE is scheduled for Sunday, October 15th 2023 at the Fwavwei Junction in Rayfield, Jos, Plateau State.
These 3 days event will offer filmmakers within the middle belt region the opportunity to present,market and allow them to meet with professionals and investors while basking in the ambiance of the tourist city.
The PIFF is a unique opportunity to expand networks and forge new collaborations by bringing together local practitioners in the film industry and the actors of sustainability around quality works, fostering by their content or in any other way, a more human world as the theme of the Festival pioneers.
