PLASMIDA HOSTS NOLLYWOOD ARTISTES ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA

 PLASMIDA Director General, Mr. Bomkam Ali Wuyep hosts Nollywood Artistes Association Northern Office on courtesy visit

The Director General of the Plateau State Microfinance Development Agency (PLASMIDA), Mr. Bomkam Ali Wuyep, warmly welcomed the National exco of the Nollywood Artistes Association of Nigeria led by Amb Hoomsuk Alex Jibrin the national northern coordinator on a courtesy visit on Thursday the 4th of july 2024 at his office in Jos-Plateau state-Nigeria West Africa.

The visit was in lieu of the associations scheduled plans to ignite a launch for their three year movie accelerator project for the city of Jos the capital of Plateau State before the year runs out in collaboration with the Microfinance agency and a select few government parastatals that would whirlpool the sustainability of the film industry on the Plateau...

The townhall creative industry incubator platform has been studiously crafted by Ambassador Hoomsuk Alex Jibrin, the National northern coordinator of the Association to harness the potential of over 5000 creative industry entrepreneurs from the 19 states of the North to mirror effect in efficiency, quality and reliability the activities of Asaba as a film creative industry hub in real time on the Plateau while creating the environment for value in fame, money and distribution...

The programme once launched seeks to equip the development process and foster the sustainability of talents with skills to partake and produce film content and add value and support the present government's action on harnessing the market and potential of the creative industry workforce....

Mr Bomkam Ali Wuyep enthusiastically extended an arm of friendship to the association and further explained that the agency he directs will on this project work hand-in-glove with the Association on the basis for professionalism and enhancing skills development especially when the aim of the project is to enable creative people to come together and produce feature length film activities and in real time engage industry people on how to make good content for international consumption with value for knowledge, fame and money...

About 5000 people within the industry from within and outside the Plateau from across the country will be attending the three-month per state townhall gathering of professionals from the association as Plateau state is set to be acknowledged as the Nollywood Centre of the North once it begins....

In attendance were the media team of the Microfinance Development Agency and the exco of the national northern arm of the Nollywood Artistes Association of Nigeria in persons of: Fredah Ibrahim (Secretary General), Emmajane Yellowduke (Treasurer), Daniel Rigye (Director of film services) Emmanuel Peter Onu (Sergeant At Arms)
