THROUGH THE LEGEND OF KHUM'GBOW, GOVERNOR LALONG WINS HOLLYWOOD AWARD FOR PIONEERING WORK, FOR T




The Plateau State Governor, Rt. Hon. (DR.) Simon Bako Lalong through the selection and premiere  of  THE LEGEND OF KHUM'GBOW written & directed by Amb Hoom Suk Alex Jibrin has emerged the winner of the prestigious Award given annually by the Hollywood Weekly Film Festival (HWMFF) & Award Committee for the “most distinguished African in distinctive national assignments,” among other awardees.

The event which was televised LIVE at the iconic Beverly Hills Fine Arts Theater in the heart of West Hollywood came up on the 6th of November 2021 and attracted the attendance of crème la crème of the performing arts and tourism industry of Hollywood.

 The Award night  Premiered the movie from Nigeria titled THE "LEGEND OF KHUM'GBOW" WHICH IS THE TRUE STORY ABOUT THE LEGENDARY QUEEN AMINA, THE CHILD THAT WAS PLUCKED OUT OF HER AND THE GENERATION HE SIRED  AS THE LOST STAR OF THE NORTH SHOWCASING THE PLATEAU & THE GOEMAI NATION THROUGH THE LOCAL ART OF FIST FIGHTING KNOWN AS DAMBE AS A METAL FIST BRAWL AND MILITARY FORM OF FIGHTING DURING THE ERA OF THE KWARARAFA IN 1601.


The international film meant for marketing to prospective film networks and producers is artistically portrayed by Hoomsuk Alex Jibrin, (National North Central coordinator for Nollywood Artist's Association) and an indigene of Plateau state from kwande in Quaanpan local government area & also Supported by PLASMEDA (under Mr Haggai Gutap), The PLATEAU TOURISM DIASPORA LLC/Uk with SHI'ANGHEN NIGERIA & the NOLLYWOOD ARTIST'S ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA & Egor Efiok of A4PR supporting the marketing initiative .

The "Legend of Khum'gbow" as an indigenously produced film will groom and project quality actors from Jos Plateau state Nigeria & proffer indigenous African content subsequently from the Plateau for worldwide consumption through the Plateau tourism diaspora LLC/UK office.

The premier/festival event was followed by a red-carpet tour of the famous Warner Bros Studio (and Warner Village) which would not only give the distinguished visitors close exposure of the inner workings of a typical Hollywood set-up but also birth new innovative ideas on how to boost the tourism and filmmaking industry particularly in Plateau State with the teeming support of the Nollywood Artist's Association of Nigeria of which Amb Hoom Suk Jibrin is the National Northern coordinator for the association.
